20/20 Sports With A.B. – Wander Franco Charged, The Braves and GreenJackets Win
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the Braves win against the Diamondbacks, the GreenJackets win, and Wander Franco being charged.
Ashley Brown: Well, I want to pick up Chris Sale who’s been for the Atlanta Braves last night. The veteran lefty, 6 in the third strong inning, struck out 9 as the Braves beat the Diamondbacks 6 to 2. Sale on the season, now 12 and 3 with a 2.74 ERA. Adam Duvall had a big three-run homer for Atlanta. Those two teams play again tonight at 9:40 in Arizona.
The GreenJackets also a winner last night. They beat Fayetteville 6 to 5. Those two teams play again tonight at SRP Park at 7:05.
Elsewhere, Wander Franco once considered the top prospect in all of baseball, he’s a great young player with the Tampa Bay Rays. He has been formally charged with sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of a minor in the Dominican Republic. This stems from a relationship he had with a 14-year-old girl. I don’t know if we’ll ever see him back in the big leagues again.
