20/20 Sports With A.B. – Injured List Grows For The Braves, British Open Winner, And More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks the injured list for the Braves growing, along with the latest updates on the Augusta GreenJackets, and the British Open winner.
Ashley Brown: Well, the injury news for the Braves gets even worse. They’re already without their top hitter, Ronald Acuna, in their top pitcher, Spencer Strider, for the year.
Now, second baseman Ozzie Albies headed to the injured list. He left the game on Sunday against Saint Louis in the ninth inning with a left wrist injury. Again, he will be without, they’ll be without his services after a fracture was revealed in that wrist for about eight weeks. The Braves also lost that game 6 to 2. They will host Cincinnati for a series beginning today.
In Minor League Baseball action, the GreenJackets fall to Kannapolis on Sunday. They’re off today. They begin a six game series in Myrtle Beach tomorrow.
And at the British Open, it was Xander Schauffele with a brilliant final round bogey-free six under 65. He finishes nine under to win the British by two shots over Billy Horschel and Justin Rose. That’s Xander Schauffele’s second major championship of the year.
