20/20 Sports With A.B. – Round 2 Of The British Open, Baseball Resumes, And More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the British Open round 2, as well as baseball resuming tonight, and the University of Alabama naming the field after Nick Saban.
Ashley Brown: Well, they’re underway in round two of the British Open at Royal Troon in Scotland. The overnight leader, Daniel Brown, in England, remains the leader. He’s six under par after a brilliant 65 bogey-free golf yesterday.
Also doing well was Shane Lowry of Ireland. He’s five under in second and Justin Thomas is three under in third. Some big names like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, all struggling. Woods with the 79. McIlroy is 78 and DeChambeau is 76 on the par 71 layout.
Baseball second half resumes tonight in the major leagues. The Atlanta Braves host Saint Louis, and in the minors, it’s the Augusta GreenJackets on the road at Kannapolis.
And the University of Alabama has announced they will be naming the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium after retiring coach Nick Saban. Saban spent 17 years at Alabama, winning six national titles for the Tide. 20/20 sports brought to you by Escape Electric Bikes of Evans. They sell fun. I’m Ashley Brown, 95.1 WGAC.
