20/20 Sports With A.B. – MLB All-Star Game, The British Open, And More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the MLB All-Star Game last night, the return of regular season baseball, and the British Open getting underway.
Ashley Brown: Well, the Major League Baseball All-Star game last night, Pittsburgh Pirates sensation Paul Skenes got the start for the National League. He didn’t yield a hit or a run in a scoreless first inning, and the National League got off to a big start.
Shohei Ohtani hit a three run homer in the third that gave the National League a three nothing lead. But Juan Soto had a two run double in the third. And then in the fifth, Jarren Duran of the Red Sox broke open a 3-3 tie with a two run homer. That gave the American League a 5-3 win, and that would be the final. Duran was named the game’s most valuable player.
Major League Baseball will get back underway later this week. The Braves open up their second part of the season on Friday, when they play host to Saint Louis. The GreenJackets are off until Friday as well. They play at Kannapolis.
And also coming up at 1:35 a.m. you’ve got the British Open getting underway at Royal Troon in Scotland. Should be fun golf to watch over the next few days.
