20/20 Sports With A.B. – Hockey In Augusta, GreenJackets Baseball, and More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the groundbreaking on the new James Brown Arena and talks of hockey in Augusta, along with the latest on GreenJackets baseball and more.
Ashley Brown: It looks like hockey is in the future for Augusta. Yesterday was groundbreaking for the new James Brown Arena overhaul, and part of the message was they have approved ice as part of the package on that improvement to James Brown Arena. Also, they say it will create $1.6 billion in income for the area and it’ll generate 600 new jobs. But again, ice hockey fans should be rejoicing today. No league or team has been picked, but ice is approved for the new arena.
In baseball, the Braves were rained out last night in Saint Louis. Those two teams in Saint Louis will play a doubleheader today. Game one is at 1:45. And then game two tonight at 7:15. The GreenJackets, a 3-1 win over Charleston last night at SRP Park. Those two play again tonight at SRP. First pitch is at 7:05.
