In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the College Baseball World Series Champs, the new Lakers Head Coach, the Stanley Cup Finals, and more.
Ashley Brown: Well, the Tennessee Volunteers took the College Baseball National title last night, beating Texas A&M 6 to 5, becoming the first number-one seed to win the College World Series in 25 years. Tennessee finished the season 60 and 13.
In the NHL, the Stanley Cup Finals came down to game seven. Florida jumped out to a three games to none lead in the series, but they had to hold off Edmonton’s incredible rally. The Oilers had won three straight in the series, but the Panthers get the title, winning last night 2 to 1.
JJ Redick introduced as the new Lakers head coach. He said he’s going to hang up the microphone. No more podcast. He’s going to concentrate on winning a title with the Lakers.
And the Braves fall to the Cardinals last night, 4 to 3. Saint Louis has won four straight in 9 of 12. Those two teams play again tonight in Saint Louis at 7:45. And the GreenJackets had the night off last night. They host Charleston tonight at SRP at 7:05.

Ashley Brown, or A.B. as he’s known, is a sports commentator, columnist, and broadcast veteran. He was born and raised in the Augusta area. A.B. attended Lakeside High School and graduated in 1989. After high school, he attended Columbus State University on a basketball scholarship.
A.B. moved back to Augusta after college, where he began his career in talk radio. He continues to provide sports updates for WGAC, while also working as the Director of Customer Service at recteq.
