It's the time of year when boats across the country come out of their winter hibernation and start their engines. To build excitement and anticipation for this, USA Today's 10BEST recently compiled the best boat shows across the country, and a Georgia boat show made the list.

"Boat shows in the United States captivate enthusiasts with a showcase of the latest in maritime technology, vessels ranging from personal watercraft to luxury yachts, and a vibrant atmosphere where the boating community comes together," they said.

Depending upon which type of boat show you are interested in, typically, these events have two different purposes. Some boat shows allow owners to browse boating, fishing, and yachting items that are new for the season. These are more convention-style shows that display booths or docks full of boating items. We're talking everything from the best cleaner spray to fishing poles to thousands of dollars worth of high-end engine gear.

Then, you have more of a car show-style boating show. As you would assume, this gives boat owners and enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase that pride and joy. This is a chance to explore that massive yacht that houses people for a few months of the year or that custom Stingray motorboat with crazy speed that can pull every level of water skier.

Regardless of your boat show preference, these events seem to be synonymous with sunshine and positive vibes. Certain boat shows even make an experience out of the day, bringing in food trucks and live music.

This Georgia Boat Show Was Named Among The Best

The Discover Boating Atlanta Boat Show was ranked as the ninth best in the country, according to USA Today. Discover Boating says that it is "Georgia's longest-running (and biggest-ever) boating event.

After a successful experience earlier this year, the show is already set for January 2025. It will again take place at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Much of the appeal of the Atlanta Boat Show is that you can learn not only about the boats you are interested in buying but also how to go about doing so. "The connections you form at boat shows can help you with financing, insurance, and other boating needs," Discover Boating explains.

In addition, this show allows you to learn how to sail, try a surfing simulator, and enjoy drink specials at the happy hour. "Along with the boats, demonstrations on fishing, repairs, and sailing, as well as a surf simulator, help make this one of the biggest boat shows in the region," USA Today said.

Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel

A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. "Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now," they explain.

In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.

Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.

"If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in," Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.

Live A Little Chatt - Rising Fawn, Georgia

Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. "It’s evident that each was built with love and intention," Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.

Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That's where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.

Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. "We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately." Live A Little Chatt says.
