The Christmas season is here.  And there are so many things to see and do during this busy time of year.  But it’s also a great time to just slow down, reflect on the year… and maybe relax and watch some Christmas movies.  When it comes to which ones are the best, we know everyone has their favorite.  So, we decided to ask the team here in Augusta to give us their favorites.

Christmas Movies

When it comes to what to watch, there’s a huge variety to choose from.  There are classics that have been around forever.  And then you have some newer films that quickly became favorites.  You’ve got serious movies and funny ones too.  There are some that will make you cry, while others will have your eyes filled with tears of laughter. Some tell stories of overcoming hard times, and others are more lighthearted.

Many Christmas movies bring joy and some have valuable life lessons too.  There’s really an endless array of options, no matter what type of holiday movie you like.

Watching Christmas movies is just one way to help you get in the holiday spirit.  And some people don’t truly feel like it’s Christmas without watching certain movies!

Our Favorites in Augusta

When it comes to our team here are Beasley Augusta, there were two movies that each got 3 votes. And one of those movies was a favorite among the Kicks team.

Dub, Tee Gentry, and Chris O’Kelley all three said that National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation was their all-time favorite.  There’s no doubt that this is a favorite for many people.  And depending on where you look, you’ll see it landing somewhere on most “favorite Christmas movies” lists. But when it came to box office hits, it looks like it wasn’t among the top movies.

Keep reading to see the other favorites from our team here in Augusta!

  • Elf

Elf actually got three votes from the Augusta team as well.  Although it seemed to be more popular among the females!  Cody from Kicks, along with our Marketing Director, Megan, and Austin Rhodes’ producer, Michelle, this was a favorite for them! Can you believe this movie turned 20 this year?

  • A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story got 2 votes.  This is definitely a classic.  They show it for 24 hours straight around Christmas! Peyton from our sales team and James from our digital/video department both voted for this one.  (And James also included Die Hard as another favorite.)

  • How The Grinch Stole Christmas

This movie got two votes as well!  Shannon from our sales department and Donna in our business office both had this one as their favorite.

  • The Polar Express

This newer movie only got one vote.  Darasha in our digital department put it down as her favorite!

  • Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer

This is a classic movie that came on TV many times during the holiday season when I was growing up.  It’s been a while since I’ve watched it. But Rebecca in our traffic department said this was her favorite.

  • The Santa Clause

This one got one vote. Debbie in our sales department listed this as her favorite Christmas movie.

  • The Bishop's Wife

We have to be honest… we’d never heard of this one.  But John Patrick from WGAC said this was his favorite Christmas movie.  We’ll have to check it out!
