Project Lifting Spirits: Drive, Chip, Putt Fundraiser
Project Lifting Spirits is doing a drive, chip, putt fundraiser at Wedges and Woods on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
You may remember, Project Lifting Spirits has been providing blankets, games, books, and “thank you” cards to our wounded service members at the VA and Eisenhower hospitals in Augusta since 2007. Their goal is to provide these cards and gifts to our local wounded troops as well as sending goody boxes to our deployed and wounded troops on a regular basis throughout the year. Currently, they provide items to Fort Gordon Army Base, the Fisher Houses and Veterans Administration Hospitals in the CSRA.
Now they are fundraising so they can continue the good work they do for our troops throughout the year! The drive, chip, putt fundraiser is happening at Wedges and Woods at 3731 Wrightsboro Road from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. the week before Thanksgiving on November 21, 2024!
Project Lifting Spirits: Drive, Chip & Putt For A Good Cause!
The cost for one round at all 3 stations is just $20. You can even purchase more opportunities for $20 for each additional round. Project Lifting Spirits will also have several silent auction items for everyone to bid on! Stay tuned for the information on these items as they are completed! Payment will be done the day of event via cash, card, Venmo, or PayPal.
Project Lifting Spirits’ ultimate goal is to be able to provide encouragement to all of the brave men and women who sacrifice daily to ensure that we are safe and to protect the liberties we all enjoy. This will help them remember that we deeply appreciate their sacrificial service to maintain our country’s freedoms.
You Can Help Project Lifting Spirits Help Our Troops!
Be our wounded troop Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Coast Guard, or National Guard, the dogma is the same. Project Lifting Spirits understands that for some of our warriors, their toughest battles lie ahead of them, with surgeries, and perhaps years of rehabilitation. Help PLS to help them make the transition successfully.
Often the scars that take the longest to heal are those that are unseen. The “Thank you” cards, especially the ones handmade from children, touch these troops in a very special way. Join PLS in their effort to reach out to these heroes who now need our help.
