I vividly remember one of the first times I built a LEGO set. It was for my two younger brothers who for all intents and purposes probably didn’t care if I or they built it. In my mind though, I had to build it. It was a Star Wars set, and, if I remember correctly, it was a Boba Fett ship. It was genuinely my first introduction into the world of fandom LEGO sets and honestly, I was surprised at just how many more of them exist now than they did 10+ years ago.

LEGO sets were probably my first introduction into step-by-step instruction booklets. I know that sounds silly, but as someone who just moved and had to put together a lot of furniture, I kept thinking, wow I’m actually good at building these because of LEGOs. I like to tinker with little things like that. It’s probably also why I love putting together 1000-piece puzzles and cross-stitching. Wow, I sound fun, right?

Anyway, did you know that there are so many other fandoms featured in LEGO sets now. Like yes, I knew about the Star Wars collection and Harry Potter, but how about the Lord of the Rings, or even some of the super cool Marvel ones? Yep! They’ve made them now. And because I went down this rabbit hole, I decided to put together some of my favorites that I found. Most of these are now in my cart waiting for me to hit check-out eagerly. So, without further ado, here are 8 fandom LEGO sets from some of your favorite fantastical worlds.

  • LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter

If you’re an original Star Wars fan, then you know that one of the best LEGO sets to get are from the Star Wars collection. This X-Wing Fighter set will definitely remind you of Luke’s X-Wing from the original Star Wars movie. You could definitely turn this into a great gift idea for the Star Wars fan in your life.

  • LEGO Marvel Infinity Gauntlet Set

Adding this to your cart is… “Inevitable.” Sorry, I had to! When I was growing up, I got to put together a lot of various LEGO sets for my brothers, and they loved things like these. Thanos’s Infinity Guantlet is a great choice for any huge Avengers or Marvel fan.

  • LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station

Look at how cool this is! For all of us Harry Potter fans out there, if you feel like you need another piece of memorabilia might I suggest this one. I love the fact that you’re creating the Hogwarts express, but even better is that we’re doing the Hogsmeade station. So the LEGO is coming with a few different minifigures such as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and even the Trolley Witch and the train conductor!

  • LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle

For those of you who are more advanced and love a challenge, the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle is just one of the three “big guys” on this list. The main thing to know about these bigger LEGO sets is that it comes with multiple boxes and it definitely takes time. This is definitely for the diehard fan. The set comes with different pieces like Hagrid’s Hut, the Whomping Willow, and even the boats the first years take to get to Hogwarts.

  • LEGO Icons The Lord of The Rings: Rivendell

If you’ve been on TikTok over the last couple of months, you probably saw when everyone was grabbing the LEGO Rivendell set. It’s a behemoth of a LEGO set. It comes with many bags and a huge instruction booklet. But listen, as a diehard LOTR fan… this is incredible! It has some amazing detail like Frodo’s bedroom and Elrond’s study. Plus, it’s beautiful and I’m definitely adding this to my cart.

  • LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon

Does anyone else hear the opening theme of Star Wars when you see this LEGO set? I mean, it feels like it’s natural for my brain to go there. When I think of advance LEGO sets, I think of this. The Millennium Falcon is insanely huge and it definitely takes time and dedication. But for those of you who absolutely love that, it’s worth it, right? But if that sticker shock has you reeling, this one here is a little bit more of a normal price range.

I just had to include this as a bonus item for all of the budding Lego Master Builders out there.
