Earth Day, April 22 is an annual celebration that people all around the world get involved with. It is a day to raise awareness of the need to protect the earth from things like pollution and deforestation. It is also a day to honor the achievements and impact of environmental initiatives. If you want to get out and help celebrate the planet, here is a list of Earth Day events happening right here in Augusta.

 

  • Earth Day Augusta

    Where: Phinizy Swamp

    Time: 10am – 3pm

    The Earth Day Augusta Committee is hosting an Earth Day celebration to promote sustainable living. This event will offer classes, tours, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Local eco-friendly vendors will also be apart of this event. Check out the full schedule here.

  • Earth Day Workshop: DIY Bug Repellent

    Where: FIELD Botanicals

    Time: 11am – 12:30pm and 2pm – 3:30pm

    At this hands-on event, FIELD owner Jennifer Tinsley, will be teaching the basics on skincare formulation and how to create a natural bug repellent that is safe for you and the earth. More info here.

  • Earth Day Hike

    Where: Redcliff Plantation State Historic Site

    Time: 9am – Until

    Learn about Earth Day history and all the natural resources this trail has to offer on a 1.7-mile hike. More info here.

  • Kors Loves Earth Day

    Where: Augusta Mall – Michael Kors

    Time: While Supplies Last

  • Earth Day Kids Event

    Where: Fort Gordon Main Exchange

    Time: 12pm – 2pm

    Get the kids involved with this event. There will be rock painting, seed planting, and crafts.

  • Earth Day Clean-up 2023

    Where: Bubbles or Not

    Time: 5pm – Until

    Spend your Earth day by sharing some love four our planet with an Earth Day clean-up. After the clean-up, Pizza will be offered and you will get the chance to check out a plastic art gallery made by local school art clubs. More info here.
