Let’s be honest with each other. The reason we go to the fair is to eat, right? Because for some reason, food at the fair taste better. Today and Friday you have the chance to find out just what I mean with some Aiken fair food!
The Western Carolina State Fair in Aiken will open the gates on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. the fair will be open for lunch. Now, before you head over, just know that the rides and games will not be operating. So, if you want to get your fix of fair foods then today and Friday are the days for you.

Now you see it all the time at baseball stadiums and at fairs, there are some really out there foods at the fair. One of the wildest I’ve ever seen, and yes, I tried it one time, was the Doughnut Burger. The same as a cheeseburger, replace the bun with a Krispy Kreme. Don’t knock it till you try it. Now it wouldn’t be on my menu on the regular, but I tried it and it wasn’t bad at all.
