Bringing back a souvenir or a memento from a trip is one of the ways we can reminisce about all our experiences. Seeing these treasured keepsakes will bring us back to the times when we didn’t have any care in the world, and our days were spent drinking piña coladas and reading beside the pool. Aah… good times.

If your home is already filled with trinkets, your treasured travel keepsakes might be collecting dust in some forgotten drawer. Fortunately, different products can help you keep these mementos, and we have links to where you can purchase them from Amazon.

The Oldie (But Goodie) Way of Keeping Treasured Keepsakes: Scrapbooking

One of the simplest but most effective ways of keeping your travel mementos is by making a scrapbook. You can create one and fill it with tickets, maps, receipts, and other memorabilia. It’s the ultimate way to relive your adventures and to make sure all your travel hoards are kept in one place. After all, you don’t want your guests wondering why you have a decaying cocktail umbrella from your 2019 trip in your utensil drawer. Make separate scrapbooks for each trip and stack them proudly in your library or home office. These scrapbooks are like your own vault of memories that you can browse again to relive exciting moments from your trip.

Use Shadow Boxes

Another way you can keep your travel souvenirs and have them double as decor is by using shadow boxes. It’s a unique way to frame your mementos in a 3D display. Arrange your treasured keepsakes in the shadow box. It’s also a fancy way to keep everything organized and it is a good conversation starter with first-time guests. Of course, if it’s your mom visiting and she doesn’t have any idea that you’ve been to Ibiza during the times she thought you were just working overtime in the office, you might want to shove these shadow boxes into the closet while she’s in town.

Shove Everything in an All-In-One Organizer

If you don’t have the time to create a scrapbook because you’re already planning your next travel, you can shove all your trip’s keepsakes in an all-in-one organizer. You can organize all your treasured mementos in this organizer. They are also subtle and look like ordinary file boxes.

Keep your Trinkets in One Clear Glass Jar

You can keep all your small keepsakes in a clear glass jar. It’s a cute way to keep them without adding to the clutter in your home. If you’re a beach bum and always traveling to the beach, you can keep the beach’s sand in a small glass jar with a date and place label.

Digital and Printed Collection of Photos

For those who prefer to take photos as their keepsake instead of buying trinkets, they can create a digital archive. It’s a space-saving way to hold onto your travel memories instead of purchasing several miniature landmarks that end up cluttering your desk. You can even choose a few of your photos that you can print and put on a frame.

And if you have gone nuts in printing your travel photos, you can even go “old school” and display them in a photo album. You can give them to your guests to browse while you’re busy preparing dinner.
