Updated 8:40 a.m. 10/1/2024: Local school schedules adjusted as hurricane recovery continues
Augusta area schools have extended the amount of time they will stay shut due to Hurricane Helene’s impact on facilities, infrastructure and the community as a whole.
The following schools and school systems will be now closed until Monday, October 7.
- Columbia County
- Richmond County
- Aiken County
- Burke County
- McDuffie County
- Augusta Prep
- Episcopal Day School
- St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School
- Augusta University
- Augusta Technical College
- University of South Carolina – Aiken
- Lincoln County
