Human Remains Found in North Augusta House Fire
Human remains were found in a North Augusta house fire early this morning.
Aiken County Deputies were called to the 100 block of Tiger Lily Circle in North Augusta at 2:47 am today to a report of a house fire.
Fire crews from the North Augusta Department of Public Safety said the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
Human remains were recovered in the home once firefighters were able to get inside.
“Sheriff’s Investigators are working to determine the origin and cause of the fire,” according to a news release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing with the help of the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
