The owner of The Solfood Kitchen has recently announced via social media that the business is not doing so well.
Melanie Harvey posted via Facebook:
“Please pray for me and my business. I can’t find enough staff or customers to keep going. I don’t know how much longer I can hold on in this dying industry. Please support local is all I can say.”
Solfood Kitchen is a wellness café that focuses on farm-fresh soul food – food from the sun. Their goal is to help nourish the mind, body, and soul with their dishes.
The restaurant also has a huge amount of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from, which makes it a stand out spot in the community. They serve a little bit of everything from lunch bowls to lunch sandwiches. Same with dinner, there is a variety of meals to choose from from Salmon sliders to Prime Strip Steak.
They also serve brunch on Saturdays from 11 – 3.
Need a good detoxing juice or latte? they have those too! To learn more about what they have one their menu check it out here.
Solfood Kitchen also kept music going every Thursday, but now even that has been put to a stop due to the expenses needed to support the local artists.
The local restaurant is hiring and most recently posted that they are hiring for a BOH Chef position. Some of the benefits and requirements posted were Sunday & Monday off every week, no late nights. Experience necessary, must be able to work sauté station & have good knife skills.
