Austin: Very special congratulations this morning to Dr. Brian Christine, the Westside High School class of 1981 graduate has been nominated to become the assistant secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services, serving directly under Robert f Kennedy junior. Doctor Christine, steadfast conservative, a great advocate for strong patient-centered health care policies, no doubt will bring a great passion and commitment to the new role. He is replacing Rachel Levine. Remember her, him per person? The rather controversial figure in the previous administration.
Rachel's retiring. Bless her heart. Anyway, but Dr. Christine, a much different personality and a much different presence in the office. Again, a urology specialist, a surgeon in the field of urology who is again the nominated to the assistant secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services serving right under Robert F. Kennedy Jr. And, yes, that name, not just the name of my daughter, Christine, that's Bobby Christine's big brother.
I actually knew Brian long before I knew Bobby. He and I are a lot closer in age. Should I also mention he's a great big Steeler fan? Matter of fact, the last time I saw Brian, he and I were standing on the sidelines together in Pittsburgh watching the Steeler warm up. How about that?
Congratulations, Dr. Brian Christine, an Augusta native, soon to be our next US Department of Health and Human Services assistant secretary. And that's the comment. I'm Austin Rhodes. 95.1 FM News Talk, WGAC.
