The world has gone crazy.

Today, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have gone down.  So what do you do?

Well, we could definitely use this time to be more productive- at work, at school... at home.  Wherever you are, there are many things that DON'T require social media to function (unless of course your job is a social media manager).

You could:

Make Those Phone Calls

Maybe you've got some clients, or even family members, you haven't talked to in a while.  You've been putting it off.  Now's a great time to reach out and make that connection!

Get Caught Up On Email

If your email inbox could use some managing... now's a great time!  Delete, categorize, reply, flag... Whatever needs to be done with those emails, right now you have uninterrupted time to do that!

Read!

As someone who loves to read, this is a no-brainer for me!  It's a great time to get caught up on reading that book... or maybe doing research on something you've always wanted to know more about!

Read a book

Go Outside

Get some fresh air, and truly disconnect! As long as the weather permits, getting outside can do wonders for your body and mind.  Take a quick walk-- without your devices!

Take A Nap

This one isn't recommended if you're at work... But if you've been feeling groggy, without Facebook and Instagram to mindlessly scroll, you could easily grab a quick little nap!

Go Out To Lunch/Dinner

Call up a friend.  Plan a date.  Get out of the house or office and head to your favorite spot.  Without the distraction of social media, you and your friend/partner can really connect, uninterrupted!

Pet A Dog (Or Cat)

Spending time with pets can really impact your mood.  It's good for both you and the pets!  Take a walk, toss the ball around, snuggle! Whatever makes you feel good.

And yes, you can grab some photos of them to post, once Facebook and IG are back up!

Do Some Yoga!

Find some inner peace with yoga or meditation!  Or if that's not your thing, maybe head to the gym-- or get out for that walk or run!  Getting in some form of physical activity is good for your body, mind and spirit!

Do these... anytime!

You don't have to wait until Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are down.  These are great suggestions for ANYTIME you'd like to disconnect!  Even when our favorite social media apps ARE working, it's sometimes important to unplug and unwind.  We all know that social media can have negative impacts if we let it control too much of our lives.

Here are some of the best memes and reactions to this whole thing.

Is there anything you would add to this list?
