We’re gearing up for the unofficial kick-off to Summer this weekend.  It’s a long 3-day weekend for a lot of people, and we hope you enjoy and stay safe.  For some, they’ll be traveling.  But, there will also still be a lot of people in town.  And that’s okay because we have a lot of things going on in and around the CSRA this Memorial Day weekend.  We’ve put together a list below for you, and while we did our best to list everything, there are probably a few we missed!     The Augusta GreenJackets are home this week, and playing against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.  Games are May 23rd through May 28th. They will have a MEGA Memorial Day Fireworks show after the game on Sunday.

  • Saturday Market at the River

    Enjoy a stroll through the many vendors downtown on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 8th Street Plaza. This local farmer and artisan market is pet friendly and free to the public.

  • Books-N-Things Fair - Aiken County Community Association

    The Aiken County Community Association is hotsing their Books-N-Things Fair Friday, May 26th through Sunday, May 28th at St. John’s Methodist Church Gymnasium (104 Newberry Street NW, Downtown Aiken).  Friday and Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 pm.

    Funds raised at the book sale go to help young people pay tuition at USC Aiken and Aiken Tech.
