Halloween is just over two weeks away. But Halloween candy has been in stores for quite a while already. Pretty sure it hit shelves not long after the 4th of July! CandyStore.com has done the research for us! The website gathered 15 years’ worth of data to bring you the most popular Halloween candy in each state. Of course, Halloween 2020 was definitely different for trick-or-treating and Halloween events. Last year, there was a bit more normalcy. But, CandyStore.com is predicting that this year will be “full-on normal-sized Halloween again.”
The National Retail Federation shows that Halloween candy spending should hit $3.1 BILLION this year! And that would make for a new all-time high. But we do have to wonder if it’s more candy being bought, or the rising costs that make that number so high.
And overall spending on Halloween is predicted to be over $10.6 billion, a 5% increase from last year.
