We love our chicken sandwiches in the South! Now, some Georgia and South Carolina restaurants are getting noticed as having some of the best chicken sandwiches in the world.
Tasteatlas ranked who had the best in the world, with all of the Top 10 in the U.S. I’ve had the pleasure of dining at the spots ranked 3rd and 5th on the list.
Georgia
Zunzi’s is ranked No. 7 on the list. We haven’t had a chance to visit yet, but my wife and I will add it to our bucket list. They cater and deliver according to their website, and even have their own line of sauces.
South Carolina
Boxcar Betty’s (Ranked No. 5)
We lived in Charleston for 12 years. A lot of things about the area spoiled us. We loved the beach, the history too. The food was our favorite. Boxcar Betty’s was a lunch hot spot with great service and more than enough in a single portion, no matter what you ordered. It didn’t hurt that they catered. Ask any of the local businesses who their go to for clients and grand openings for comfort food is. Two words…. Boxcar Betty’s. I have enough receipts from over the years to wallpaper a door.
Leon’s Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop (Ranked No.3)
In my opinion, the food gem of downtown. For a place that has only been around since 2014, they deliver. Atmosphere, food, service. Ask about the history, too. The building is an old body shop. You need to visit!
