There is one big event that happens in April each year – Golf Week. But what happens after that? Once the golf patrons have left town, there’s still a lot going on around the CSRA.  With the warmer weather, more and more outdoor events start happening in Augusta and the surrounding areas.  There are very few weekends when you won’t find a lot going on.  So let’s take a look at April events in the CSRA!

  • Canal Discovery Day - Saturday, April 15, 2023

    Canal Discovery Day is a free community event.  This is the second year for this family fun event to celebrate the canal and community with fresh air, fishing, food, and more!  Enjoy $5 Petersburg Boat rides, plus check out the raffles, historic house tours, live music, exhibitors, food trucks, and more.

    The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area and Discovery Center – 1450 Green Street, Suite 400, Augusta  (GPS Address: 400 Blome Lane, Augusta).

  • The Garden City Festival at Sacred Heart - Friday and Saturday, April 21-22, 2023

    The Garden City Festival is a two day event at Scared Heart (1301 Greene Street, Augusta), starting on Friday, April 21st. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. You can enjoy landscape and floral exhibits, discover hard to find plants, garden accessories, and unique decorative items in the Garden Market.  There will also be educational speakers at Scared Heart Cultural Center and Wandering Workshops with vendors teaching mini-sessions.

    There will also be hands-on activities for the family too.

  • Beer4Good Music Festival - Saturday, April 22, 2023

    The Beer4Good Music Festival is presented by Back Paddle Brewing and Douglas Lane Realty Group.  The event kicks off at noon in Lincolnton (American Legion Road, Lincolnton, GA). The day will feature live entertainment, craft beer, food, and more.  The headliner is Harlem’s own Ray Fulcher!

  • Augusta Craft Beer Festival - Saturday, April 22, 2023

    The Augusta Craft Beer Festival is coming up Saturday, April 22, from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at SRP Park in North Augusta.  There will be plenty of craft beer to sample from a variety of great breweries.

    There will be games to play too, thanks to the Augusta Sports League.

  • Spring Greek Festival - Friday-Sunday, April 28, 29, & 30, 2023

    According to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church website, the Spring Greek Festival is coming up Friday through Sunday, April 28, 29, and 30.
