Aiken Let’s Have Lunch Today At The Fair

Let's be honest with each other.  The reason we go to the fair is to eat, right? Because for some reason, food at the fair taste better.  Today and Friday you have the chance to find out just what I mean with some Aiken fair food!

The Western Carolina State Fair in Aiken will open the gates on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. the fair will be open for lunch.  Now, before you head over, just know that the rides and games will not be operating.  So, if you want to get your fix of fair foods then today and Friday are the days for you.

Now you see it all the time at baseball stadiums and at fairs, there are some really out there foods at the fair.  One of the wildest I've ever seen, and yes, I tried it one time, was the Doughnut Burger.  The same as a cheeseburger, replace the bun with a Krispy Kreme.  Don't knock it till you try it.  Now it wouldn't be on my menu on the regular, but I tried it and it wasn't bad at all.

So with today and tomorrow being a wide open lunch for all at The Western Carolina State Fair in Aiken, get on over and have lunch at the fair.

Does this just not look like heaven on earth?  Let's Go!

So many options.  From the fries to ice cream.  It's why we go to the fair.

One of each please.  Ok, let's be honest, 2 or each and a to go on the Deep Fried Oreos.

Who doesn't love a good funnel cake from the fair?  Personally, I go plain with just powered sugar and wear it on my shirt the rest of the night.

Don't tell me you wouldn't cover those in ketchup and then go back and get another order.  I would!

There's no competition here, they both win.  So, we have to get both.

If we were to grade these funnel cakes, they would get an A+.  The only reason they get an A+? There's not a higher grade!
