Georgia - Sugar Bowl, Jan 1. 2026
Georgia will play in the Sugar Bowl on Jan 1. in New Orleans at 8 p.m. EST. Fresh off their SEC Championship win, the Bulldogs will face off against the winner of the Ole Miss and Tulane game in the College Football Playoff. Georgia's first round bye places the team into the Sugar Bowl which doubles as the quarter final of the College Football Playoff.
Georgia comes in with a 12-1 season and SEC championship win. Ole Miss (11-1) and Tulane (10-2) will face off on Dec. 20 to decide who will get in to the Sugar Bowl. This will be Georgia's 13th Sugar Bowl appearance and 64th overall bowl appearance.
The Sugar Bowl will continue its 35 years of hosting teams with 10 plus wins in the regular season.
Georgia Tech - Pop-Tarts Bowl, Dec. 27
Georgia Tech takes on BYU at the Pop-Tarts Bowl on Dec. 27 at 3:30 p.m. EST. This will be the Yellow Jackets 3rd appearance at the Pop-Tarts Bowl and their 5th all-time matchup with the Cougars.
No. 22 ranked Georgia Tech finished its season with a record of 9-3 and No. 12 BYU held a record of 11-2. The Cougars are making their 42nd all-time bowl appearance while the Yellow Jackets are making their 48th. This year is Georgia Tech's first ranked bowl game since its 2014 victory in the Orange Bowl.
BYU and Georgia Tech have met four previous times with the Yellow Jackets only winning one of those matchups.
Georgia Southern - Birmingham Bowl, Dec. 29
Sun Belt rivals, Georgia Southern and Appalachian State are facing off on Dec 29. at the Birmingham Bowl at 2 p.m. EST. The NCAA was rejected by seven different programs before App State finally accepted its offer in the bowl game.
Georgia Southern finished with a 6-6 record, with one of its wins being away against the Mountaineers. App State grabbed its bowl game spot by surprise after a 5-7 season under first-year head coach Dowell Loggains. This marks App State's 9th and Georgia Southern's 8th postseason bowl game.
The rivalry between Georgia Southern and App State dates all the way back to 1932, with the Mountaineers holding a 22-18-1 all-time record against the Eagles. The Birmingham Bowl will be the first time in history that these two teams have met outside either of the program's home stadiums. And it's all because of the weirdness of this year's bowl season.
Kennesaw State - Myrtle Beach Bowl, Dec. 19
Kennesaw State will take on Western Michigan at the Myrtle Beach Bowl on Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. EST. This bowl game at Brooks Stadium, home of Coastal Carolina, will be the first ever bowl game appearance for Kennesaw State and the 13th appearance for Western Michigan.
Kennesaw State finished the regular season with a 10-3 record and a 19-15 win against Jax State to claim the CUSA Championship title. Western Michigan won the MAC Championship in a 23-13 victory over Miami of Ohio, and finished the season 9-4.
Kennesaw State and Western Michigan are both coming into the bowl game after winning conference titles. The Myrtle Beach Bowl is the only bowl game other than the College Football Playoff that hosts two conference champions this year.
