ESPN revealed Sunday that College GameDay will air from Atlanta when Georgia battles Alabama in the SEC Championship. The network picked this matchup over the Big Ten title game in Indianapolis, where two unbeaten teams — Ohio State and Indiana — will face off.

The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs will meet again at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, about 90 minutes from Athens.

Georgia enters with one loss. The Bulldogs should reach the College Football Playoff even if they fall short in Atlanta. Alabama sits on shakier ground with two losses, and a third could derail its postseason hopes.

The Big Ten Championship pits the top two squads in the College Football Playoff rankings against each other. Ohio State and Indiana have won every game this season and will punch their tickets to the postseason no matter what happens.

ESPN just wrapped up a broadcast from Ann Arbor, where they covered Ohio State's win against Michigan. The network decided against two straight Big Ten appearances.

Where the show sets up in Atlanta has varied during previous SEC Championship games. Production might unfold at the Georgia World Congress Center during the SEC Championship fan fest, or the crew could position themselves outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Championship week creates challenges since most title games take place at neutral sites instead of on college campuses. Fans from both schools should flood Atlanta with a conference championship on the line.
