Netflix released the first four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 on Nov. 26, 2025. Production teams worked in Atlanta and nearby Georgia towns. The rest will debut on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Atlanta was the main base. Crews constructed sets all over the state, building a radio station from the ground up in Chattahoochee Hills. They shot scenes at Stone Mountain Cemetery.

Georgia has hosted filming for the entire series run. Earlier seasons used Jackson, Gwinnett Place Mall, an Atlanta quarry, and a mansion in Rome.

A Fayetteville home draws fans from everywhere. This property was the Byers family home exterior, and the inside became a model for sound stage construction. More than 7,000 fans have bought shares of the property that now operates as an Airbnb. Bookings stretch through April 2026.

"And for me, it's like going in and listening to some records in Jonathan's room — that's my favorite part," said Alejandro Chouza, according to GPB. Chouza purchased it in 2022. He transformed it into an Airbnb.

Season 5 crews worked at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, which stood in as a college campus. LaVista Park supplied backgrounds for character moments. Dominick's Italian restaurant in Norcross became Enzo's on screen.

The Claremont House in Rome came back as the Creel House in Seasons 4 and 5. Colonel Hamilton Yancey built this Gothic Revival structure in 1882. It has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Winona Ryder return. Linda Hamilton, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux join the cast.

Select theaters across the United States and Canada will screen the series finale on New Year's Eve.
