As Bernhard Langer steps onto Augusta National for his 41st and final Masters, he'll carry custom gear that tells the story of his wins at golf's most storied event.
Tour Edge crafted a one-of-a-kind staff bag for the golf master's last round. A golden tag is engraved with his tournament dates, with azaleas at the base highlighting his wins in 1985 and 1993.
"We are extremely excited to celebrate Bernhard's final Masters," said Tour Edge CEO David Glod to Golf Digest. "I've admired Bernhard for decades, ever since he won his first Masters, around the same time I started Tour Edge. It's an honor to recognize his remarkable career, his lasting legacy and his incredible success at Augusta."
Langer's new Exotics E725 5-hybrid was built just for the course's tricky shots. "I need the ball to go really high and come down soft with a lot of spin," Langer said to Golf Digest. His tests showed the club spins at 6,000 rpm — way more than his 4-iron's 4,000.
Langer picked his clothes to match past glory days. On Thursday, he'll wear all red, similar to his 1985 win. For the final round, he'll sport a yellow shirt and green pants — the same mix from his 1993 triumph.
His son Jason will walk beside him as a caddie.
