Austin talks about Jacob Frey, the liberal mayor refusing to cooperate with ICE.
Austin: The charismatic and hardcore liberal mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, has announced to the world that he and his city refused to cooperate with ICE and any attempts by the Trump administration to deport illegals using city officials, city law enforcement officers, or their law enforcement intelligence networks.
Okay. Now that he has formally made the announcement, he did it in a very nice press conference wearing a coat and tie, telling the world how defiant he and the city of Minneapolis are going to be. It’s time for President Trump to make an example out of Minneapolis. I love doing this in a city like Minneapolis.
It’s solidly liberal. Not going to hurt anybody’s feelings. It could help him in any way, shape, or form. And, again, the rest of the world needs to see the example. Every single federal dollar heading to Minneapolis needs to be withheld. Maybe we need to take a look at financial assistance to the state of Minnesota in general.
The bottom line – if you receive any federal grants, any federal monies whatsoever from the United States government, they are to be withheld. Let’s see how Minneapolis survives on an island all to itself. Make an example of this man.
As a matter of fact, since he is announcing that he is standing in opposition to the policies of the President and the United States government, perhaps it’s time to charge him with treason or, you know, one of those other crimes that they kept accusing Trump of trying to break a few years ago. In an insurrection?
Nah. It’s not an insurrection because he’s not armed or protesting, but, maybe it’ll come to that. Bottom line, you announce that you are standing in opposition, in task, and in effort to federal policy, we’re going to take you down. It is as simple as that. You can have opinions all day long about what you think about policy, how you feel, it’s affecting people, that type of thing.
But if you take an affirmative stand against the policies of The United States Of America and you have the audacity to swear yourself in as a city, county, or federal official, you can go to jail for that. It’s time that President Trump make an example, and I think the mayor of Minneapolis is a great place to start. And that’s the comment. I’m Austin Rhodes. 95.1 FM News Talk, WGAC.
