An attempted armed robbery early this morning at a Circle K convenience store in Aiken has authorities searching for two suspects.

Aiken Public Safety Officers were called to Circle K at 702 Silverbluff Road at 7:05 am Sunday after a man and woman entered the store and attempted to rob it.

Attempted Armed Robbery Suspects Left Empty-Handed

"Upon arrival, they learned that a male and female suspect entered the store and threatened the clerk with a knife, forcing her into the back of the store. The clerk managed to lock herself in an office and call 911, prompting the suspects to flee the scene," according to a news release from Aiken Public Safety.

Help is Needed to Identify the Suspects

"Information from the community is vital to solving this and any crime," said Aiken Public Safety officials.
