Augusta woman wanted for allegedly hitting two female victims with a car on Wooten Street

An Augusta woman is wanted for allegedly hitting and severely injuring two females with a vehicle during a fight last week.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is looking for 30-year-old Nina Marie Demmons in connection with the incident that was reported October 2 in the 1500 block of Wooten Road.

A witness told deputies she saw a black sedan with two females inside arrive around 6 pm at the Wooten Road location.

The witness said the passenger in the car and the driver got out of the car and began fighting with a woman identified as Arleana Grant and a 16-year-old girl.

"The witness said McClain and the other female got back into the vehicle and intentionally ran over Grant and another victim. The vehicle then left the scene, traveling southbound on Wooten Road towards 15th Street," according to a police report.

The victims were taken to Wellstar MCG for treatment of what officials described as severe injuries.
