Richmond County athletic events will resume this Friday, October 11, but school district officials say there will be limitations.

"Due to ongoing curfew restrictions and some road hazards caused by street light outages, athletic events in our school system will start early and limit the number of spectators for the safety of our students, staff and attendees," according to a statement from the Richmond County School District.

Richmond County Athletic Events Scheduled for This Friday

  • Laney High School at Butler High School, 5 pm
  • Westside High School at Cross Creek High School, 5 pm

Who Can Attend

Home games will only be open to student participants, staff, and four immediate family members. Student participants, including athletes, cheerleaders, band members, etc., will each receive their tickets in advance from their respective schools. Gofan online ticketing will not be available for home athletic events this week.

Athletic Events Friday, October 11, Outside the School System

  • T.W. Josey High School at Burke County High School, 6 pm (location change)
  • Hephzibah High School at Baldwin High School, 6:30 pm
  • Academy of Richmond County at West Laurens High School, 6:30 pm
  • Glenn Hills High School at Thomson High School, 7 pm

Athletic events outside the Richmond County School System in neighboring counties are open to the public. Tickets can be purchased through host high schools.
