Deans Bridge Road Collision Leaves One Dead: Victim Identified
DEADLY CRASH ON DEANS BRIDGE ROAD
Deans Bridge Road was the site of a two-vehicle accident Wednesday evening that left an elderly woman dead.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the head-on collision in the 3400 block of Deans Bridge Road at 5:45 p.m.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said one of the drivers was killed. He said 80-year-old Dorothy Morrow of Rollingwood Drive in Augusta was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver and passengers in that vehicle were injured and are reported to be in critical condition.
Deans Bridge Road had Lanes Closed Temporarily
As of 7:00 pm, one northbound lane and one southbound lane on Deans Bridge Road had been shut down while the accident was under investigation.
