Widespread Technology Outage Affecting Flights at Augusta Regional Airport: Update On Local Flights

Although Microsoft says it is gradually fixing the issue affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services, be aware that many disruptions still linger.
Widespread Technology Outage Causes Ground Stop at AGS
Statement from Augusta Regional Airport as of 8:02 a.m.
“American Airlines began their flight recovery. All American Airline flights for July 19th are showing delays currently.
All Delta flights through AGS are still showing cancellations through 1:50 pm today,” according to AGS officials.
Passengers are encouraged to contact their airline directly for the most up-to-date information.
The website, DownDetector, which tracks user-reported internet outages, recorded growing outages in services at Visa ADT security and Amazon, and airlines including American, United and Delta.
All three airlines have grounded flights, though some services seem to be resuming at American Airlines.
Officials say cybersecurity company CrowdStrike appears to have inadvertently disrupted IT systems around the world overnight. It is not believed the issue is linked to any malicious cyberattack.
The incident, so far, appears to only be impacting devices running Windows and not other operating systems.
