Christion Alexander Reeves In Custody For Aiken County Murder: Update
Christion Alexander Reeves is now in custody for a deadly shooting in Aiken County earlier this month.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says the 22-year-old Reeves is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-old Richard Carroll of Aiken on June 8.
Deputies were initially called to Wellstar MCG after it was learned a man was taken to the emergency room there with a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Richard Carroll, died at 2:30 am, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.
Christion Alexander Reeves Arrested Thursday afternoon
Investigators converged on a home on Lock Lane Southeast in Aiken this morning, between Park Avenue and South Boundary with a warrant for Reeves’ arrest.
Reeves was reportedly not there, though officials remained on the scene.
A news release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office confirms Reeves’ arrest this afternoon, but said details about the arrest would be released later.
On June 8, investigators were initially led to the intersection of Sage Creek Boulevard and Bettis Academy Road, where it was believed the shooting took place.
During the course of the investigation, they learned it happened at a home in the 8100 block of Red Rock Way in Graniteville, about a half-mile from the Sage Creek area where they went first.
There’s still no motive for the shooting.
Reeve was taken to the Aiken County Detention Center where he was charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

Dollar General Murder in Richmond County Still Unsolved
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for the person or persons responsible for the death of a man whose body was found in the parking lot of the Dollar General store in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on June 15.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Elias Jkhael Delk of Augusta. Coroner Mark Bowen said Delk appeared to have died from multiple blunt force trauma.
An autopsy was scheduled.
