Three Robbery Suspects on the Run in Aiken County
Three robbery suspects from Columbia County are still being sought in Aiken County today.
It all started overnight when Columbia County deputies began pursuing a vehicle with three suspects believed to have been involved in an armed robbery near the Jet Food Store on Clarks Hill Road at Pollards Corner.
The chase carried over into Aiken County, where deputies there assisted in the pursuit.
Captain Eric Abdullah with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect’s vehicle crashed in the 600 block of Bettis Academy Road near Springdale Road.
Abdullah said 3 black males got out of the vehicle and ran.
“We searched the area for some time and they were not located,” said Abdullah. He added that units are still in the area searching for the suspects.
No description of the suspects was given.
