New Homes Being Added Off Exit 5 In North Augusta

The roads have been cut and paved and it seems like they are close to building new homes in Walnut Grove in North Augusta.

More new homes are coming to North Augusta's Exit 5. Roads have been cut, and the building will start soon. This is an addition to an existing popular neighborhood.

Keystone Homes is the builder of the homes and will add to the 400 homes already in Walnut Grove. This subdivision is located off Walnut Lane, and the area has seen tremendous growth in recent years.

I lived in Walnut Grove and loved the neighborhood. It has walking trails and Walnut Lane Park, which is operated by the city of North Augusta. It looks like this will be a significant addition to this neighborhood.

When I lived there, the only businesses in the area were a Winn-Dixie, Sonic, and a convenience store. Now, it's home to Walmart, a few convenience stores, Zaxby, Starbucks, hotels and more. It is also growing on the other side of I-20.

More Growth At Exit 5 In North Augusta

Most homes that go up for sale in Walnut Grove now are usually priced in the high 200s if you see one for sale, which is rare. I'm sure the new ones will be more expensive because of the increase in building materials.

Walnut Grove is in North Augusta and is close to I-20 and nearby cities Augusta and Aiken—also about 20 minutes from Edgefield.

This is a great small town with one of the best walking trails in South Carolina—the North Augusta Greeneway , named after former mayor Thomas Greene.

Also, there is SRP Park, home of the Augusta Greenjackets, a single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The park also has festivals and concerts throughout the year and is located on the Savannah River in Hammonds Ferry.

The new homes in Walnut Grove will be an excellent housing addition to North Augusta.
