An Inside Look At Augusta’s Bell Auditorium Renovations
Augusta’s Bell Auditorium is getting a facelift, which is much needed. I recently toured the Bell with some co-workers to see how the progress is going. It’s amazing that they can make so many beautiful improvements while maintaining the original look of this historic building.
The Bell Renovations Make More Space A Big Priority
The first thing you will see is the lobby and interior walkways in the Bell. The walkways have been widened for plenty of room on both sides of the building. Two stories of room. This is a big addition to the Bell, and you will love the look and feel of it. Many of you will gather in this space before the show.
Historic Building With State Of The Art Lights And Sound
Lighting and sound will be improved with state-of-the-art equipment, too. This is a significant upgrade, and the Bell and the new James Brown arena will be attached when all is completed. This will be one of the best entertainment facilities in the Southeast. We are so fortunate to have this historic building updated with class and we should be proud of the community coming together to make this happen. Now, we need some great concerts and events to fill it up.
First Show At Newly Renovated Bell Auditorium
There will also be a new large VIP club close to the stage, and an elevator for staff and performers is another significant addition. Also, concession areas are getting some serious attention, too. May 31, 2024, will be the first show at the Bell Auditorium. The Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer, Ben Folds will break in the newly renovated Bell.
I can’t wait to see this building with a packed house on opening night. This is something everyone in the CSRA will be proud of. I’ll see you at some of the shows in 2024!
