Another big lottery winner in Aiken! The luck continues there with news that another person has won some big money playing a scratch-off game recently.
The South Carolina Education Lottery says a woman just won $100,000 playing the Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword lottery game. Her odds of winning the top prize were 1-in-600,000, according to a news release from the lottery.
The winner, who can choose to remain anonymous, originally thought she had won $1,000. She went to work, then realized later she had won the game’s top prize of $100,000.
Where the Winning Ticket was Purchased
The woman purchased the winning Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword ticket at the Murphy gas station on Richland Avenue West. The store received a commission of $1,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

First $2 Million Prize in Aiken this Year
The first $2 million lottery ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 1014 E. Pine Log Road in Aiken in January. The winner played the $20 Millionaire’s Club scratch-off.
Second $2 Million Prize in Aiken Weeks Later
The second $2 million lottery ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 2948 Whiskey Road earlier this month. This Circle K location is less than four miles from the location on E. Pine Log Road where the first $2 million winning ticket was sold.
Both Circle K stores received a commission of $20,000 for selling the claimed tickets.
South Carolina and Georgia are among the 11 states that allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.
