A couple of Walmart shoplifters have been identified, but the Columbia County Sheriff's Office says they are still being sought.

Authorities released surveillance pictures Wednesday of a man and woman seen leaving the Walmart Neighborhood Market store on Belair Road in Martinez Saturday, without paying for several items.

The Walmart shoplifters have been identified today as Savannah Maddox and Thomas Mooney.  Both have active warrants already on file at the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

The Report from Walmart's Loss Prevention Department

The couple was captured on surveillance cameras when the items were allegedly stolen.  The report says Mooney reportedly scanned some items at the self-checkout station and placed them in a bag.  Several items were never scanned, according to the report.  It went on to say that Mooney allegedly tried to pay using a credit card that was declined.

Both suspects left the store without paying for the unscanned items.  They reportedly got into a black passenger vehicle.
