Law enforcement, neighbors and the community quickly gathered early this afternoon to find a two-year-old child who was reported missing

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office was looking for Dutton "Dut Dut" Aaron.  He was last seen in his yard on Sunshine Circle in Aiken at noon today.

Statement from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office after Dutton Aaron was Found:

"What a wonderful day for so many volunteers and law enforcement officers to work together to find the missing child and his puppy.  We are so thankful that he was spotted with his puppy.  He and his puppy have been returned to his family.  Truly a community effort."

Earlier today, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office issued an alert that Dutton and his dog were missing.  They put out the following description of him:

What Dutton was Wearing

  • Blue shirt
  • Gray sweat pants

His parents said Dutton was with a 9-month-old Golden Retriever.

Contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at (803) 648-6811.  Homeowners in the area of Sunshine Circle are being asked to check their video systems between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. today.
