Many Georgia schools are waiving college application fees for high school seniors throughout the month of March.

Augusta University is among the 49 statewide colleges and universities that are providing application fee waivers to the state's high school seniors through the Find Your MATCH in March initiative.

The 49 schools agreeing to waive application fees include Augusta University, Augusta Technical School and Georgia Military college, locally.

The Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) has partnered with the University System of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia and private institutions to provide the waivers between March 1 and March 31.

"As our high school seniors enter an important time for shaping their futures, we are proud to once again announce institutions will be waiving application fees for the month of March," said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.

The full list of participating schools and information on how to access the application fee waivers can be found at www.gafutures.org.

There is no limit on the number of schools a student may apply to using the application fee waivers during the month of March.

"Thousands of Georgia students meet the academic eligibility for college admission in Georgia and don't apply.  We hope that by providing application fee waivers and making it easy for students to view their options, compare programs and costs, we can help more students achieve success in their post-secondary education with the least out-of-pocket costs possible," said Georgia Student Finance Commission President Lynne Riley.

About GEORGIA MATCH:

Through GEORGIA MATCH, over 132,000 Georgia high school seniors have received a personalized letter from Governor Kemp listing the public technical institutions, colleges and universities that are holding a spot for them in the Fall 2024 semester, based on their academic eligibility.  Every student has received a letter with at least 22 colleges that are holding a spot for them.
