Three people have been shot in Augusta since Thursday night, including one who died.

Two were shot on Broad Street at Wood Street this afternoon, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office

Deputies responded to a report of shots fired with multiple people down at 1:49 pm

When deputies arrived, they found two victims with at least one gunshot wound.  They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.  Their conditions were not known.

"The investigation is in its early stages and there is no additional information available at this time," according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

Deadly Shooting in Augusta Thursday Night

Among the three shot in Augusta since Thursday night, Richmond County authorities are continuing to investigate a deadly shooting on Tullocks Hill Drive at Glenn Hills Drive.

The victim in the shooting was identified as 21-year-old Michael Bartholomew Nixon of Tullocks Hill Drive.  He was shot at least one time and died at the scene just before 7 pm. Thursday.

An autopsy has been scheduled.

One person was taken into custody today and charged with Nixon's murder.

Investigators say 20-year-old Cequez Ceni' Je Jones has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a crime.
