Two Arrested in Warrenville Murder Last Week
Two men have been arrested in connection with a Warrenville man’s murder last week.
A passerby spotted Joseph Keenan‘s body on the front porch of his home Friday in the 2000 block of Augusta Road.
An autopsy revealed Keenan had been shot at least one time and died as a result of his injuries.
Two Arrested Today
Two men are in custody for a Warrenville man’s murder last week. Investigators say 26-year-old Blake Satcher and 28-year-old Zackery Taylor Smith have both been charged with Joseph Keenan Sr.’s murder.
Smith was taken into custody Wednesday at 209 Pelzer Street in Warrenville without incident. Satcher was already in custody at the Aiken County Detention Center on unrelated charges.
Charges Against Satcher and Smith
Satcher and Smith were both charged with Murder and Burglary 1st Degree. Satcher was also charged with Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
“The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office thanks the community for information that assisted with this case. This investigation is on-going and as information becomes available, it will be released,” according to a news release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
Questions Surrounding the Recent Death of Kendall Brown Still Unanswered
The body of a former investigator with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was found Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area on Patriot Drive in Hephzibah.
Kendall Brown was reported missing last Friday. Investigators say he was last seen at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Lumpkin Road January 28. They also said it’s possible he left his home on foot sometime between January 30 and February 2. Brown’s body was found not far from his home.
The cause and manner of Brown’s death have not been released yet.
Family and friends are gathering later today for a prayer vigil and balloon release in Brown’s honor.
The vigil will begin at 6 pm at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Lumpkin Road.
