Man Killed in Wood Chipper Accident in Appling
Accident at Pollard Lumber Results in Death
A man was killed in a wood chipper accident while on the job at Pollard Lumber Company on Washington Road in Appling today.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner were called to the scene.
Authorities say 63-year-old Ralph Pickens was killed after he fell into an industrial conveyor wood chipper.
