No one was hurt when fire broke out at Terraces at Summerville Apartments
Augusta, Georgia Fire/EMAAugusta firefighters were called to the Terraces at Summerville Apartments on Hickman Road early this morning .
When firefighters arrived, they found some residents on the roofs of balconies trying to escape the fire and smoke.
Emergency crews rescued four people and a dog from their apartment windows and balcony, due to flames blocking the halls and stairs.
Officials say no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
