Chipotle Hiring for Burrito Season

Bet you didn’t know there’s a “burrito season.” According to popular Mexican fast-food chain Chipotle, people seem to consume a lot more burritos during the months of March, April and May.
Due to an anticipated busy spring season, Chipotle has announced it’s hiring 19,000 workers with full and part-time positions available. The company currently employs more than 110,000 people worldwide.
Chipotle, with restaurants in Richmond and Aiken Counties, is trying to entice prospective workers by offering more benefits.
Chipotle Adding New Benefits
- Eligible employees will have access to a financial well-being education platform
- Up to 4% salary-based matching contributions to their 401(k) if they make eligible student loan payments
- Visa card with Cred.ai credit-building features
- The company will pay for six free mental health counseling sessions
In adding the new benefits, Chipotle Chief Human Resources Officer Ilene Eskenazi said in a statement, “As we push toward our long-term goal of operating 7,000 restaurants in North America, it’s crucial that we listen to and adapt to the needs of our team members, so they can grow with us.”
Last year, Chipotle launched a nationwide recruitment campaign in hopes of hiring 15,000 workers for “burrito season.”
Chipotle’s CEO Brian Niccol announced recently that staffing and turnover have returned to, or in some cases are better, than pre-pandemic levels.
Chipotle increased menu prices by 3% in October, thanks to higher dairy and beef costs. Despite the increase, company officials are still expecting to see a significant increase in demand over the next several months.
Burritos are Fan Favorites at Chipotle
Chipotle says the burrito is the most popular item on the menu since you can customize it just the way you want it. Customers can choose from four different meats, two types of beans, and a variety of extras including salsa, guacamole, cheese, and lettuce all wrapped in a tortilla.

Where is my go-to favorite Mexican Restaurant? Well, it is in Warrenton. El Maguey Mexican Bar and Grill. It’s located at 725 Main Street in Warrenton. For me, living in Aiken County, it is a road trip and worth every second of the drive. They are family-owned and operated, and the food is on point. I’ve never left there without a to-go box. The portions are super big and super delicious. My go-to there is the Burrito Cancun. A large tortilla with steak, chicken, shrimp, rice, and beans then topped with cheese dip and red burrito sauce.
I promise you, there will be leftovers for later in the day or for lunch tomorrow. They also have a new location in Wrens too. Now I can’t drive to Warrenton every time I want a great Mexican meal, chips, and cheese dip, but there are so many great locations to pick from.
