When you are researching your upcoming 2024 domestic travel plans, how important is the type of hotel you stay in? For some, the most effective place is the choice, while others aim for a place with specific amenities. To add to your consideration, USA Today's 10BEST, recently detailed the most unique boutique hotels across the country and, two Georgia spots made the list.

"These ten boutique hotels are living their best second lives, with plenty of destination-worthy character, charm, and personality for your next road trip or vacation," they said.

Downtowner Las Vegas detailed why travelers have been gravitating towards boutique hotels. They claim it is largely due to the attention to detail, localized focus, and personalized service the experience brings you. "Boutique hotels have made a significant dent in the food and hospitality industry by having the freedom to create distinct designs without being restrained by strict brand-based guidelines," Downtowner said.

With fewer rooms, guests have more of an at-home feel. Similar to that of a bed and breakfast, but with the amenities of a hotel. Less rooms can also mean less noise. Depending upon where this hotel is situated within your destination, a quieter experience can be likely.

Here Is Where You Would Go In Georgia To Find The Best Boutique Hotels

The Greyfield Inn in Cumberland Island was the eighth boutique hotel to be featured here by 10BEST. "Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island, Georgia is one of the most charming retreats in the U.S.," Historic Hotels Of America says. In fact, there are 15 different room types to choose from. From the Library Suite to the South Porch room, each has a distinctive bedroom feel.

Then, if you head about 90 miles north, you will reach the next Georgia boutique hotel that was recognized by 10BEST. The Drayton Hotel in Savannah ranked seventh. The Drayton is a five-star establishment that is appropriately located in the historic district of Savannah. "Originally the America Trust and Bank Building, in 2019, it was lovingly restored to its 19th-century splendor," 1oBEST explained. There are 50 rooms here. Each has a pleasant view of either this historic district, Savannah River, or City Hall.

Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel

A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. "Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now," they explain.

In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.

Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.

"If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in," Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.

Live A Little Chatt - Rising Fawn, Georgia

Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. "It’s evident that each was built with love and intention," Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.

Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That's where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.

Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. "We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately." Live A Little Chatt says.
