Austin: A best guess, it's been about two and a half months since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift confirmed to the world that they were involved in a serious relationship. Kansas City Chiefs fans were at first very happy about that, very excited. And there was a lot of positive buzz generated. But since that revelation, the Chiefs are three and five and Kelce himself, great tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has only caught one touchdown pass from the incredibly talented Patrick Mahomes.
Now, folks, to hear some people talk about it, Taylor Swift is the worst thing to happen to a group of winning gentlemen since Yoko Ono descended on the Beatles back in the late sixties. But I have to say, Taylor Swift is no Yoko Ono. Taylor Swift, first of all, is an incredibly talented and beautiful woman. That's number one. Number two, she is about as kindhearted as anyone I've ever heard of in show business.
And I'm not just saying this based on what I've seen in tabloids and seen on television. I'm talking about personal relationships that I know that she has with people that I have been friends with for over 40 years. Obviously, Taylor wasn't alive back in those days. I have literally known these associates of Taylor's since long before she was born. And they swear by her reputation as a great human being, a wonderful humanitarian and philanthropist. And I could go on and on and on.
Also very slight, but still very positive personal interaction with my daughter could not have gone any better. My daughter adores her, and that's really all I needed to know. My daughter doesn't like bad people. But seriously, the bottom line. Taylor Swift is no Yoko Ono. She is as positive as positive can be. She is a positive influence on Travis Kelce. Just ask anyone that knows him and she is as supportive of him as she can possibly be.
So is it bad luck? What is it? The NFL's been topsy turvy all year long. Ask me, I'm a Steelers fan. I can tell you about it. Stay the course, Taylor. Hope you and Travis have a wonderful life together and they will get back to winning in no time flat. And if not, hey, he's had a great career. It's time that he enjoys your great career now. So heads up and God bless you both. And that's the comment, I'm Austin Rhodes, AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
