Miniso is a China-based, discount retail store and over the past few years, it has been expanding more of its store fronts into the United States.
It opened its first store back in 2017, in California, and now has about 18 locations in over 17 states – and now adding to that number is the Augusta Mall.
The store will be located near Barnes and Noble on the top level. The store sells a variety of items from collectibles, toys, plushies, fragrances, accessories, makeup tools, stationery snacks, etc. They update their products every 7 days to continue to have customers discover new things.
The store is designed to be able to cater to anyone whether they are 5 or 75.
Miniso has collaborated with brands including Coca-Cola, Marvel, Hello Kitty, Sesame Street, Mickey and Minnie, Pink Panther, We Bare Bears, and Beijing’s Palace Museum,
There is one located just a little over an hour from Augusta, in Columbia South Carolina.
Other Facts about the Miniso store:
The Miniso brand founder is Jack Ye. He came up with the inspiration for the brand while on vacation, with his family, back in 2013. He realized that stores that had good quality, inexpensive products were mainly manufactured in China. He understood many times that the higher the price meant better the quality and if an item is low price then it means it is bad quality, but he felt it was time for good quality items to be able to have low prices, too.
The brand's slogan is “Life is for fun.”
The logo is of a shopping bag in combination with the brand's name and a smiley face graphic. The smiley face correlates with their slogan of having fun and overall happiness.
It will be nice to see Augusta's experience with the store. No opening date has been released just yet.
