Austin’s Daily Commentary – December 6, 2023

Austin: Let's get a little nostalgic this morning and go back in time, shall we? 2017, 2018, 2019. Those days were days of prosperity for the United States of America. And the only problem waking up every day under President Donald Trump was perhaps an embarrassing gaffe or a rude comment here or there that was perhaps inappropriate when it came to foreign policy, when it came to the economy, when it came to the tax situation. Check, check, check.

Things were going great. Conservatives were thrilled. And I don't know what to tell you folks. For some strange reason, the Democrats want to paint the presidency of Donald Trump as the end of the free world as we know it. It's Chicken Little and the boogeyman and the big bad wolf all at the same time. The sky is falling. Big bad wolves are falling from the sky. Donald Trump is going to start World War three, etc., etc., etc..

Folks, none of that stuff happened during Trump one. Not any of it. No violence, no upheaval. I mean, again, there were there were feelings hurt. Oh, man. Egos bruised, no doubt about that. And when it comes to the state of the world and the state of the United States in general, we were better off then than we are now by far.

If anyone tells you that Donald Trump is going to turn the presidency into a dictatorship, they are out of ideas and are lying to you. Either that or they are deranged beyond comprehension, which, you know, when it comes to the left these days, that's about right. Anyway. Good luck to them.
